Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 7, 2026
Treasure Ledger™ is a personal finance and cash-flow planning app. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices available to users.
Information We Collect
We collect information users provide directly, including email address, display name, account settings, manually entered accounts, transactions, bills, goals, planned expenses, notes, notification preferences, subscription status, and account deletion or export requests.
If a user connects a bank account, Treasure Ledger™ uses Plaid to retrieve read-only financial account data such as institution names, account names, balances, and transaction history. Treasure Ledger™ does not support money transfers in the current version.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide budgeting, manual transaction tracking, transaction categorization, bill tracking, goal planning, planned expense tracking, cash-flow forecasting, alerts, subscription access, data export, account security, and account deletion.
Third-Party Services
Treasure Ledger™ uses third-party services to operate the app:
- AWS for authentication, API hosting, database storage, encryption, and secrets management.
- Plaid for read-only bank account linking and transaction data.
- Apple for App Store purchases, subscriptions, and Sign in with Apple when available.
- RevenueCat for subscription purchase status and entitlement management.
- Expo push notification services for app alerts when notifications are enabled.
Financial Data
Financial data is private to each user account. Treasure Ledger™ does not sell financial data. Plaid access tokens are stored only on the server side and are not exposed to the mobile app.
App And Subscription Purchases
Treasure Ledger™ is sold as a paid App Store download. The app purchase includes manual budgeting and planning features. Treasure Ledger™ Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription through Apple in-app purchase for bank syncing, Plaid connections, automatic imports, and paid automation features. Purchase, renewal, cancellation, and refund handling are managed by Apple.
Notifications
If notifications are enabled, Treasure Ledger™ may send reminders for bills, low balance risk, forecast risk, and planning updates. Users can change notification preferences in Settings.
Data Export And Deletion
Users can request an export summary and delete their account from Settings. Deleting an account removes the user's Treasure Ledger™ app data from the app database and removes the authentication account where supported.
Security
Treasure Ledger™ uses HTTPS, user-scoped backend authorization, encrypted AWS storage where configured, and server-side secret storage. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but Treasure Ledger™ is designed around the sensitivity of financial data.
